Dan Hess is an accomplished Investment Funds Manager with over three decades of experience in the industry. In his role at Delaware Life, Dan provides due diligence, selection, and relationship management for the investment options in the company's variable products. His expertise in liability-driven investment strategy, asset allocation, hedging strategies, capital market risks, and client relationship/portfolio management make him a valuable asset to the organization.

With sixteen years of experience at Delaware Life, including seven years at Sun Life, Dan has supported the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Vice President of Asset Liability Management (ALM) with general account portfolio construction, developing and implementing a liquidity management framework, as well as providing external manager selection for short-term investment strategies. He also served as the Head of Portfolio Management, overseeing Life, Annuity, Group Benefit, Investment Product, Surplus, Bermuda, and Hong Kong portfolio managers. Before joining Delaware Life, Dan was a Director and Senior Associate Investment Policy Officer of ALM at a leading insurance firm.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Iowa State University and holds a Series 6 license and a Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
