Deborah Miner is an exceptional writer, communicator, and trainer with extensive experience in advanced markets topics. She has been in the industry for several decades, starting as a staff writer at The National Underwriter Company in 1983 and eventually running the group from 1991 to 2010.
As the Editorial Director of the Tax and Financial Planning group, she oversaw the publication of over 50 tax and financial planning publications, including Tax Facts, Stephan R. Leimberg’s Tools & Techniques, and Don Cady’s Field Guides. Deborah also worked as an Advanced Sales Consultant at Ohio National Financial Services. She spent the last seven years as the Assistant Vice President of Advanced Markets at Western & Southern Financial Group.
Deborah’s broad industry experience and background and her numerous designations make her a valuable asset to the Delaware Life team. Her unparalleled expertise in advanced markets topics, including tax and financial planning, and her leadership skills are evident in her successful tenure as the Editorial Director of the Tax and Financial Planning department at The National Underwriter Company.
As an Adjunct Professor at The American College of Financial Services, where she teaches the Retirement Planning & Employee Benefits graduate course in its Masters of Science in Financial Planning degree program, Deborah is committed to sharing her knowledge with the next generation of financial planners.
Deborah holds a law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law and has earned several designations, including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Last year, she became a National Social Security Advisor Certificate Holder and is a LIMRA Advanced Sales Committee member.
